Welcome to Heart for the Arts Studio Arts! We believe creativity is a gift from God given to every one of us when we were created in His image. Art can be a powerful way to express and deepen our relationship with God and to share our faith with others. As a part of Heart for the Arts, our purpose is to use our talents and gifts to bring others to God. We share in the mission “To Inspire Others to Love Christ through the Arts” and we strive to be God-honoring, family oriented, and dedicated to our community while pursuing excellence and having lots of fun! We invite you to join us as we explore creativity, faith, and community together. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just beginning your creativity journey, no matter if you create with paint or photography, collage or clay, we welcome all mediums and experience levels!
Has God blessed you with a love of art and creativity? Come join other like-minded believers on Sunday afternoons to get creative, make some art, and have a lot of fun all while glorifying God! We'd love to have you join us!
The first thing we learn about God in the Bible is that He is creative (Gen. 1:1) and a few verses later we learn that we are created in His image (Gen. 1:27). This means God created us to also be creative.
In Exodus we learn that the first person the Bible mentions being given the gift of the Holy Spirit is an artist, Bezalel. (Exd. 31:2-3) Why are these things important? It goes to show that creativity and artists are important to God and we all share a creative spirit. If artists are important to God then they should be important to us as Christians as well.
However, visual arts seem to be an often overlooked area of ministry and importance in the church and the Christian community in modern times. At Heart for the Arts we have seen this need for a visual arts ministry in our world and in our community. We have taken up the call to bring together Christian visual artists and encourage them to use their God-given talents and creativity to inspire others to Christ through their art. Heart for the Arts Studio Arts is the visual arts branch of the Heart for the Arts community arts organization in Central Florida.
We will meet regularly to fellowship together, share our art, our faith walk, our struggles and triumphs, and encourage each other in our art and faith.
We will host art-making events open to the community—a chance for people to relax, get creative, and simply enjoy making something with their hands and seeing their ideas become a reality.
Our member artists will have the opportunity to participate in art shows, fairs, and exhibits to learn how to exhibit their work and even have opportunities to sell their art.
We look forward to bringing in guest artists to speak to our member artists on a variety of art related topics. We will host workshops for member artists to learn more about different art mediums and observe demonstrations on how guest and member artists execute their craft.
We want to be a light in our community and in the church so we will always be on the lookout for opportunities in our community and churches to share the healing, hope, and peace that comes from making and viewing art through projects, exhibits, or events. We want everyone to see what God can do when we use our God-given creativity and partner with the original creator in spreading the message of the love and hope we have in our Savior Jesus Christ.
If you are ready to explore your artistic gifts in community with other like-minded creatives, we would love to have you join us in this creative and faith journey.

As a nonprofit organization we rely on the generous support of our patrons and donors. If you feel called to support our new Studio Arts ministry we would very much appreciate you taking a look at our Amazon Wish List. Art supplies can get expensive so if you are able to purchase an item or two off this list or if you have some art supplies or art books that are in good, usable condition that you would like to donate we would very much appreciate your generosity. You can also make a financial donation by Becoming a Patron of Heart for the Arts. We also appreciate your prayers for this new ministry, please pray that we might reach those in the church and community who need what we can offer, that we are able to provide what our members need, and through it all that we might glorify our Heavenly Father.
Fine Art is used mainly for beauty or aesthetic purposes. Textile art is generally not considered a fine art because it has a practical purpose. This is an artificial distinction and we believe that both take skill and are beautiful expressions of creativity and the ability to do either or both is a talent and gift from God with the divine purpose of reflecting His creativity and sharing the message of the hope and love we have through Jesus with the world.
Looking for inspiring local art to exhibit in your space, your church, or your business? We would love to partner you with our local artists for a temporary or permanent exhibit of their work.
This is s great opportunity for you to show your support of the local arts community, and it will give our artists the chance to shine their light in the community, sharing the healing power and the hope and peace that can come from experiencing the beauty of art.
For more information or to request an exhibit or art work to display please contact us via email at HFAStudioArts@gmail.com and we will get back with you soon.
